Now that we're all finishing Eckhart Tolle's book A New Earth, how timely it seems to mention The Soul of Money: Transforming Your Relationship with Money and Life by Lynn Twist. Our fear-based economy is helping us to look at what we value in our culture and as the author explains we have 3 myths that we live by: (1) There's never enough. (2) More is better. (3) And, that's just the way it is. Lynn reminds us that every dollar we spend has power and makes a statement. Just what do we value? I found this to be another book full of "aha" wisdom.
As I was cleaning the gardens recently, a pair of turkeys flew about 15 feet over my head and glided off into the woods. What a sight!
Speaking of gardens, we'll have vine-ripened raspberries and blackberries to enjoy again this summer. Fresh organic eggs, laid locally, will be on the menu, too. I made a wonderful French garlic souffle recently so beware! Some of you know how much I like to cook and bake and this year holds great promise.
